Background
As part of the commitment of members of the International Schools Association (ISA) to strengthen a global literacy culture, a collaborative platform among schools is needed to share best practices in literacy development across educational levels.
In the 21st century, literacy extends beyond reading and writing skills. It encompasses critical thinking, communication, creativity, digital literacy, and character development integrated within intraclass activities, co-curricular and extracurricular programs, learning
environments, as well as authentic student and teacher works.
Through this forum, Sekolah Sabilillah presents a curated and professionally documented best practice sharing session within a digital platform accessible to all ISA members as a tangible contribution to cross-country literacy development.
“Literacy extends beyond reading and writing skills. It encompasses critical thinking, communication, creativity, digital literacy, and character development integrated within intraclass activities, co-curricular and extracurricular programs, learning
environments”
